Agra Museums and Agra Art Galleries
(Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, IN)
The Indian city of Agra has little to offer in the way of museums and art galleries, with the two main offerings being the popular Spiritual Museum and the Taj Mahal Museum. Both of these museums are worth exploring and celebrate Agra's most notable historic buildings and architecture, being filled with antiquities and artefacts.
The Taj Mahal Museum is especially popular and a good place to find out more about the buildings of the Taj Mahal, while for art lovers in Agra, consider paying a visit to the sprawling Spiritual Museum, where the views are almost as impressive as the contents. Agra's main museums and art galleries are described further below.

Enjoying an elevated setting atop a small hill, the Agra Spiritual Museum is close to the Taj Mahal and contains a wealth of local treasures, many of which are of religious significance. Part of the university complex, this spacious cultural attraction covers a large area and features many themed exhibits, based around man's spiritual quest. The Spiritual Museum is known locally in Agra for its imposing shikara-style facade and is also home to a collection of art works, including some impressive paintings of various descriptions.
