Agra Parks, Gardens and Agra Arboretums
(Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, IN)
Many major parks and gardens within Agra have been especially built to take advantage of views of the city's famous Taj Mahal. The Mehtab Bagh is one such garden in central Agra, where you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the back of the Taj Mahal, which is arguably a better view than that from the front of this mausoleum.
The Ram Bagh has a special place in Agra's history books, since it was actually the very first Mughal-style gardens to ever be created in Agra, dating back to 1528. Particularly popular is Agra's 'Taj Nature Walk', an enjoyable nature ramble with stone pathways and distant views of the Taj Mahal. The city's main gardens and parks are described here.

Agra Parks and Gardens: Mehtab Bagh (Moonlit Garden) - Agra, India, IN
Located next to the Yamuna River and close the glorious Taj Mahal complex, the Mehtab Bagh offer visitors to Agra the chance to enjoy some fine Indian botanical gardens. The park itself is a relatively new addition to Agra's many tourist attractions and is known for its Mughal-style design and gardens. Nearby is a scenic walk along the Yamuna River, a particularly peaceful spot away from the crowds and full of wading birds. The Mehtab Bagh gardens are easy to reach from central Agra by auto rickshaw, with the journey taking approximately 30 minutes. Apart from the lush planting schemes and brightly coloured, exotic flowers, you can also expect to enjoy some superb views of the back of the Taj Mahal and its beautiful reflections, affording great photo opportunities for keen snappers.
